ANGELA KIGGUNDU

FOUNDER, MANAGING PARTNER

Angela founded Asmara Capital with the vision of providing quality, specialized and affordable financial services to the thriving and developing economies of Sub Saharan Africa. Prior to this, she gained a wealth of diverse experience in various finance roles in the Stock Brokerage, Pension Fund Management, Development Finance and Private Equity spaces.

Angela brings with her an unparalleled skill set having acquired significant experience in macro and micro-level research, company valuation, capital fundraising, deal – origination, analysis and execution. Her role at Pearl Capital Partners where she was part of a small team that helped launch and manage the company’s 4th fund, Yield Uganda, a EUR 25m fund, exposed her to a range of dynamic entrepreneurs under her direct portfolio, instilling a sense of critical thinking and problem solving.

Angela holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the University of Reading, UK, and a Master of Science degree in Finance and Management from the Cranfield School of Management, UK.

GEORGE MULINDWA

George is an investment management professional focused on management of long term funds on behalf of Endowment funds, Pensions and Insurance companies.

George has steered various funds from inception to maturity along the way overseeing investment strategy and execution of over USD 250m. During the course of his career, George has specialised in Macroeconomic-research and local fixed income aspects of fund management as an Investment manager. With a strong background in Finance, George serves as a trusted advisor to key clients identifying opportunities in both the listed and unlisted markets and optimisation of investment returns

George has held membership to the CFA Institute since 2014 and is a vetted Key Person by both the Capital Markets Authority and Uganda Retirement Benefits Regulatory Authority.

RAYMOND TUMUSIIME R

STRATEGY CONSULTANT

Raymond is the CEO at Kas and Hobbes SMC Limited and brings to the table experience in business valuation, investment strategy, project management, communication and marketing plan development; his previous roles strengthened his analytical skills and exposed him to diverse industries. He is proficient at: working with start-ups as well as with established businesses, to develop business plans; offering business valuation and investment strategies, roles that require in-depth research and project management at different levels.

Raymond spent a total of seven years living in Belgium, Italy, Spain and the USA immersed in a rich multicultural environment and finds it easy to blend with culturally diverse teams. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from the University of Wales. Four years later; he won two Masters Scholarships, to pursue an MBA in Retail Banking and Finance from the University of Bologna (Italy) and recently, an International MBA from Deusto University (Spain) where he graduated as the best MBA student.
